Key members of Broadgate Partners team

Martin Perkins – Operational Director

Martin has over 25 years Financial Services logistics experience with 21 of those years in Investment Banking Operations. The majority of his career was spent at SBC/UBS, where he managed a number of departments including: Cash Management, Equity Derivatives Middle Office and Settlements, Credit Derivatives Settlements and the cross-asset class ISDA OTC Documentation area.

Martin is responsible for developing new business, implementation of the project teams on-site and project oversight.


Malcolm Clark – Business Development Director

After graduating from the University of Exeter in 1989, Malcolm initially worked in the accountancy and media sectors before moving into the recruitment industry some 20 years ago. As an Investment Banking Operations and Change Management specialist, he has worked with some of the world’s leading financial services institutions in London, New York, Singapore and Hong Kong. His clients include UBS, Barclays, RBS, HSBC and Morgan Stanley.

Malcolm is responsible for developing new business for the firm.


Julian Crow – Business Development Director

After graduating from the Newcastle Business School in 1994, Julian initially worked in the FMCG sector before moving into the recruitment industry in 1996. As an Investment Banking and Asset Management Finance and Change Management specialist, he has worked with some of the world’s leading financial services institutions in London, New York, Singapore, Hong Kong as well as regional UK locations in Manchester and Glasgow.

Julian is responsible for developing new business for the firm.


Louise Read – Resource Manager

Louise graduated from Oxford Brookes University in 2001 and moved directly into the recruitment industry, firstly in the media sector before migrating to financial services, joining Bayley Needham in 2004. Louise managed both the Operations Permanent and Interim Management divisions at Bayley Needham for clients that included RBS, Barclays, UBS, HSBC and Morgan Stanley.

Louise is responsible for consultant recruitment, staff liaison, consultant onboarding administration and social event management.


Phil Langton – Risk Management Change & BAU Director

Phil is vastly experienced, with over 25 years spent in Risk and Operations line and change roles at institutions including Goldman Sachs, UBS, Barclays and RBS. He is a SME in managing exotic/non-standardised products and the associated risk and is an active presenter/panellist at Treasury and Risk-related CPD events and conferences (e.g. Euroclear/Clearstream/PRMIA/ CISI/ SWIFT).

At Barclays, Phil was Head of Intraday Liquidity and in his combined 7 years at Goldman Sachs and UBS, he worked in Operations in Collateral Management & Valuations and New Issues for Equity Capital Markets, so he has an excellent understanding of the full front-to-back process and associated risk and controls.

Phil’s most recent role was at NetOTC where he spent 3 years as the Chief Risk Officer, responsible for market risk, settlement risk, default risk, operational risk, controls and corporate governance. He also designed the operations and risk control infrastructure, specialising in exotic derivatives and implemented the risk calculation and reporting infrastructure.

Phil is responsible for project planning, implementation and on-site delivery.
